TRICIA WOOLSTON THIS IS ME!

This is me, a patch work version.

Today on my make up trails i took advantage of the No7 vouchers for £5 discount in Boots.

I absolutely love their latest Precision Brow Pencil's, the angle on the pencil helps anyone from a novice to a pro glide on a perfect brow effortlessly. It's hard to make a mistake as the shape of the pen helps give direction. The tones, blonde, brown and deep brown are fantastic. The blonde is obviously for fair skins with light hair, the brown has a hint of red in it so great for brunettes &auburn/red heads and the deep brown suits dark skins as well as fair skins with dark hair like myself so into my basket it went. I love love love it! It's £10 so the £5 voucher is a 50% discount, obviously when I bought it i got another voucher for £5 so i went back and got their new cheek tint in Peach Silk. Guess what, I got yet another £5 voucher when I paid for my blush so i looked like a beauty junkie boomerang going back & fourth to the No7 counter and til. Pleased to say i finally got out of there with a voucher left to spend! what will I get next, maybe another lip liner in Nude which is great for giving that seamless colourless definition to your lips, enhancing them ultra naturally avoiding that harsh hard outline which is best left on the pout of punks!!!

TISH & TOSH TIPS

Just got back from the blogger event of the month in my mind! Illamasqua make up is a fantastic new edgy, creative, stunning range of make up. Alex Box the creative director did a stunning demo and proves what make up artistry is all about. She took a young pretty lady and within a few strokes of her brushes transformed her into a piece of art. The finished look appeared in my minds view to capture a futuristic 80's vibe but others in the room may have seen it in a different perspective but that's what artistry does, it makes you think about the image before you and take on your own view. As make up artists, it's sometimes about not having a finished vision in your head but letting the colours and brushes work together on the face you have as your canvas and seeing what you end up with. Having the freedom to be creative can sometimes be like "Marmite" you either love it or you hate it but it's personal and that's what art is all about, a personal reaction to a image. The Dystopia images are not for the faint hearted, it displays stunning contouring of colours which transforms a subject. The brand allows anyone with an artistic flair to push boundaries and just let their hands go with the flow. This brand shows the use of make up on another level . For those of you who are not into avant garde make up it doesn't mean you won't like Illamasqua. Although the images promoting the brand are very theatrical and futuristic, the products themselves are still versatile to any user and can be played up or down. It's down to the individual to do what they want to do. Wear lipstick as an eyeshadow, gloss on your cheeks or on your eyes, lashes on the lower line of your eyes not just the typical top. Highlight and shade where you like and see what picture pops out. The brand is designed to allow anyone, regardless of your make up abilities, to have fun!!! and also look amazing. You decide on the look to suit your occasion. Wild or glamorous beauty is entirely up to you. Therefore if you prefer to have a pretty pink/coral cheek with sultry smoky eyes and nude lips you still can with this range but if you want to take it to the extreme, this is a brand to visit. www.illamasqua.com. The pigments and textures of the whole range are amazing and i cannot wait to set up a shoot to put the products into action.

RANDOM MAGAZINE FASH SHOOT "KAYA"

Here is my favourite image of the beautiful young actress kaya Scodelario who is the lead in the cult series of "Skins" She will feature on the cover of the next edition of RANDOM out next month. Our story was themed around Eddie Sedgwick and Andy Wahol but a modern day version.

I did dramatic 60's eyes using Eyelure lashes and MAC shadows and eye khols. In some shots i kept the mouth nide with MAC lip erase but in this shot I went for a berry wine stained mouth which gives it a completely new edge as the eyes are 60's but the dark mouth combines a 40's era. Mix it up that's what make up is all about. No rules just play. I love this look, Kaya looks so sophisticated and has the face of an angel, a dream to make up. Looking forward to seeing the whole story out next month.

TISH TIPS MAC MAKE UP

Ok, have i got your attention, anyone who is a make up fan will know about MAC. Today I went to my favourite pro store in Fouberts place, London to drop off some credits for magazine shoots I have done which MAC kindly sponsored me for. No matter how long I've been doing this job my eyes still light up at the sight of the array of products in make up shops, especially MAC
For my next beauty shoot showing tight shots of lips i will be using MAC Lip Mixes which dry matt and don't budge, the colours are amazzzzzzing strong pigment and can be mixed to make your own pallett. Another product which caught my eye were the limited edition dazzle glass lip glosses, OH MY WORD!!!!!!! these are so beautiful. The delicate twinkle in them is so subtle yet so striking and makes the lips appear as glass with volume giving lips a to die for pout. The best thing about the dazzle glass is the texture which isn't too tacky like some glosses, it's light weight on the lips but packs a punch, just what we want for a WOW factor! Ok girls, off to MAC
On your marks, get set goooooooo!

RANDOM MAKE UP BULLETIN

I have just finished designing the make up for a big fashion editorial shoot for Random magazine themed around michael angelo's paintings. I had 18 models a day but luckily for me I had an amazing team who watched my demo and and followed my mood board to the letter so the looks were spot on. Tomo the photographer was so happy with the models, we've worked together for the past 3 years and our shoots are always fun. Rivkei (stylist) and Noel and Timi on hair complete the glam squad.
MAC make up sponsored me for the shoot which was so great as I love MAC and the products did exactly what i wanted so I was able to bring my image in my head to reality on the models faces. Flawless (Britain's got talent) & Frank Musik two amazing new music and dance artists were featured in the shoot as well as Jesus and god!!!!!!!!!!! (just wait til you see RANDOM) out next month.
  • The boys just needed a tad of concealer and some powder as they are all so gorgeous anyway plus I wanted it to look ultra natural accept for fashion male models who had a fine black line inside their eyes and grey shadow smudged around lash line.
  • Female fash model had MAC face and body & concealer as a base, MAC symmetry shadow was used to smoked up the eyes softly topped with coral and burnt orange which gave it a really earthy look
  • pale yellow pencil on the inside of the lower inside lash
  • Elizabeth Arden 8 hour brushed through the brow and lashes, NO mascara
  • MAC creme brilliance on the cheeks bones and tips of cheeks to give a glossy glow!
  • MAC lip erase on the mouth to mute lips out and keep it all soft and in tone together.
  • highlighted the Cupid's bow with cream pencil and MAC ecentuate sculpting powder

Will up load images as soon as photographer releases them so watch this space!

Thursday 13th August
Spent most of today prepping for next week's two day shoot for Random.
Big production, approx 18plus models, characters, personalities on each day to make up.
Thankfully I have sourced a fab strong team of other artists who are brilliant and raring to go, i'm sure it will be pretty full on but fun which is the main thing.
MAC have agreed to sponsor me with products (yahooooo) and possibly Jemma Kidd too which is amazing so credits all round.
I thought i had decided on the look but i'm changing my mind. Inspirational tears from campaigns and editorial shoots all over my dinning room table, innnneee minnneee mooooe that's the one! maybe not!
One thing i know i want the skin to be so luminous it's boarding on glossy (not sweaty) glossy, dewy, good strong contouring around the eyes and cheeks, temples. If i decide to keep lids matt i may opt for a maximum high glass gloss in nure on the mouth, i'll decide by morning. Email's to check then i'm ready for snoozewille.
Chat tomorrow. TW

Hi Ladies, Lasses, lads and friends.

I am here to chit chat about my tishtoshtips in make up.

I have been working in the industry for some years now in editorial, commerical, fashion catwalk, music promos and awards shows such as "The Brits" prime times television shows and glitzy red carpet events.

I absolutely love what i do and want to share it with you. Afterall what's the point of having knowledge if you can't pass it on! If Einstein kept it all to himself where would be all be???

Yesterday i worked on another fashion shoot for RANDOM magazine
www.random-magazine.com new'ish mag, similar to POP and 10 out twice a year at major department stores.
Our lady of the day was the stunning Kaya Scodelario, the lead role in "Skins". She was such an angel, eyes as big and beautiful that would put Bambi to shame. Our theme was around Edie Sedgwick and Andy Wahol so a sixties vibe but a modern day version. We all had a fun day shooting in the blazing sun (using factor 25 of course) on the roof top of The Queen of Hoxton. Photographer Tomo's ideas were unique and the backdrop and props used added a party feel, all i can say is i won't look at streamers and balloons in the same light any more! Tomo's one to watch so you heard it here first.
Great Styling as ever by Rivkie Baum and Timi on the hair. Me as mumma make up so The complete glam squad!
I used Armani base, no2 making her paler than she is as i wanted that sixites feel, mac pro paint on lids in white topped with pigment, grey definition in socket in a sleek line and of course oodles of black eye liner, i love the shu Uemura eye liner liquid pens, just the right amount of liquid is released every time. I added white and light pink to the inside lower lash line all the way around the eye shape taking it slightly below the outer lash line to, then Eliabath Arden liner underneath the white line swweping it out to the far corner leaving a gap between the top lid liner and bottom where I filled in white at the outer corner of the eye and also a pop in the inner corners by the bridge of the nose.
lancome pearle cutesy pink blush and Mac nude lipstick blotted for matt effect and off she went.
Shoot will feature in next month's issue so make sure you grab a copy. Selfridges sell it and all book stores.
Next week the same team are doing a two day shoot based around Faith, Belief and religion. Big production 18 models each day themed around Michael Angelo's paintings, also using character types as we want God to make an appearance and we're also confirming "celebs" too if they aren't already on hols in Ibiza so I'll let you know how that day goes too

Bye for now and remember to blend blend blend and blend some more!
